Dear Cache,

I love you! Just in case you didn't already know. You are my heart and soul. I had such a wonderful Christmas because I get to see you all so happy to open your presents. Your favorite gift this year, I think was your Nerf gun that runs on batteries. Dad and I are not fans of this gift and I can't for the life of me understand what Santa was thinking. I need to write you more. I never want you to forget how special you are to me. Your smile fills my heart with joy. I love you lil Man! Love, Mama

Dear Cache,

I think we should change your name to "Mr. Personality" because you have so much of it! So you have decided that when you don't want to listen to us, you turn your back and cross your arms. Of course, checking over your shoulder to make sure we are paying attention with a little smerk on your face. Also, when you get busted doing something you shouldn't you stop, turn away, and look out the corner of your eyes. As if you can't see us then we can't see you. It makes me laugh so hard, and it doesn't help when I need to get mad at you! You are such a mommy's boy and I LOVE IT! You want Mommy to lay down with you everyday and tell Daddy NO! Your ASL is getting so much better, and you are just the smartest kid! You can do math like no other and I am pretty sure your handwriting is better then your older brother! SHHHHHH! I get to come help in your class once a week which is sooo much fun. You are such a wonderful addition to our family. We are very blessed to have you for so many reasons. I am so glad you picked us to be your parents and let us help you through all your trils in life. You are amazing little man!

I love ya Mama's boy,
Mom

Dear Cache,

When did you grow up? It seems like yesterday you were this little baby trapped in a toddlers body, making messes, causing trouble, and still gesturing for everything you wanted. I always wondered if you would ever grow up and now look at you, it is as if you have transformed in a day. Everyday you have become a little strong, a little bigger, and just when I thought he could not happen, a little more incredible.

See over the past little bit your Dad and I have to stop in our foot tracks and say, "Did he just say that?" From your "What are you doing?", "Get off!", "I want to go" and the one I loved today "Mommy" instead of your usual "Ma!". It is funny how we sent you to the Deaf school because your speech was not where it needed to be and you are coming home, not only with new signs, but a little chatter box. You sit in your car seat and if the music is not on, you are singing a song you learned in school. When that music is going, look out, because you are singing right along with it. Although most people would call it noise, I call it the greatest sound on earth. I turn around and smile, because I know you are trying to get those words right, and in your heart they are.

You haven't stopped scaring us though. Last night you had another "shoot out of bed, shaking episode" followed by another "puking episode". They scare me, and this will have been the third one we have witnessed. So we went to the doctor today and she told us you needed to see a neurologist. I plan on making that appointment tomorrow. Looks like we may have one more health issue to deal with, seizures. I hope we are all wrong, but like always, we will tackle this one together too. Nothing stops us, right? And what has not killed us yet, Son, has only made us stronger.

Never stop being you Cache. Others may never understand your noise, but to me, it is the greatest sound on earth. I will always love you for who you are, who you want to be, and who you will become.

I love you!
Love,
"Mommy" -Cache

Dear Cache,

Today you melted my heart, but to be honest, it doesn't take much with you. You came home from your long day at school with such excitement. You showed me all the things you had made in class; an elephant you had colored and the number 4 you had practiced writing. Not but moments later, you soon realized that you had not seen Mason. You started to ask me where he was, and just as you asked, he came stomping up the stairs. It was then when you reached out, took a big leap, and gave your brother a hug as if you had not seen him forever. You must had forgot that it was just last night you were downstairs playing XBox with him. I love to see all my children care so much for one another. You made my broken heart smile. Although, I do have to say, you made York a little jealous. He wanted that big hug too! Tonight it was my turn to read you a story and tuck you in. Of course, tucking you in also means lying with you till you fall into dream land. I can rest assure though, that by morning, you will be snuggled up to me, and will have forced Dad to move to the couch. Thank you son, for making me smile today. I hope you will always show the love you have for your brother and the rest of the family, God knows, we love you.

Love always,
Mom
